Our Story
Wig Wise was founded by Michelle, a passionate local hairdresser, who could see the real need for a Wig and Hair Extension service in the Coffs Harbour area. Her love for not only being able to help people but to also have some creative fun, has been the amazing outcome of a reliable, quality business within the local community that now stocks Wigs, Hair Extensions, Accessories and More.

About Me. Hi, I'm Michelle Wilson, founder of Wig Wise.
As a hairdresser of over 30 years, I always wanted to make people feel good about themselves by giving them a hairstyle they loved. Hair is such an integral part of our overall image, and contributes to how we perceive our own beauty. To see clients walking out of the hairdressing studio with their heads held high, looking and feeling amazing, was extremely rewarding.
My Dream.
After working as a hairdresser, I managed a hair and beauty wholesale warehouse. It's during my time at the warehouse that I saw a gaping need for wigs and hair accessories in the Mid north Coast. I learned that so many people suffering from hair loss were required to travel interstate to purchase a wig, even whilst undergoing chemotherapy and other medical treatments. Others who couldn't endure the journey were purchasing ill fitting or ill suited wigs online. It was MY DREAM to make life easier for these people, helping them to feel good about themselves again. I did over 12 months of research and preparation and eventually MY DREAM turned into reality- Wig Wise was born.
Since opening the shop, I have met many people who have been so appreciative of having a wig specialist in Coffs Harbour. I can't express how happy this has made me. It's been, and continues to be an honour to meet people of all ages, genders, life circumstances, and walks of life. Each person is travelling their own journey, and I'm delighted to help them.
I went on to do comprehensive Masterclass training with leading Wig and Hair Addition Specialist, Jon Renau. Armed with my expert training and decades of hairdressing experience, my clients are in safe hands. My goal is to listen and learn. Everyone is different and everyone wants a different style and look. It's not about me, it's about my clients preferences and respecting everyone's individuality. I love finding the perfect hair solution for every client, and I feel such a sense of satisfaction when they've found a wig they love....

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10.00am- 4.30pm. Saturdays 9.00am - 12 Noon.
